They're only temporary piercings, they'll last a few days, maybe a week. But yes, doing this with bars makes them last a lot longer.

i've had this done for 5 months with hoops and it looks perfectly fine. i guess mines the rare ones that last. I clean it like 8 times a day and shower like 3 times a day. It's a lot of commitment but its so worth it.

first of all, this person should pull their head out of their dark-aged leave-it-to-beaver ass, and get with it. theyre temporary piercings, and they dont scar when done properly. secondly, anyone who lives by "if your boyfriend thinks its wrong dont do it" should seek some therepy for codependency. fuck it even if your husband says so. anyone who would control you should be put behind you. as to the ribbon pulling bit....once again, theyre temps. not permanent, because theyre likely to pull out! and as for the final comment...the boys who wear anoraks...plenty of men enjoy the bondage aspect of these piercings without being freaks or pervs. perhaps if you could try something a little outside the missionary, youd understand. outside of that, the beauty of well executed body augmentation is not something to be attributed only to freaks. its a part of a subculture, thats gaining presence and speed, like it or not.

OK. this is what i fink.....I think the piercing looks kind of alryt on the side, infact pretty. BUT, y do it to urselves?? Y put holes in ur bootiful skin just so it looks nice for about...3week? and then decide to take it out bcoz it gets sore n looks horrible....and then realise ur guna b left with lil scars in ur skin taking up a lot ov space....?? Too bad those are the incorrect ways to do corset piercings...those have a high risk of rejecting since the piercer used captive bead rings. That's a good way to have 2 rows of scars down your back. Doesn't everyone know that the correct way to do a surface piercing is with a surface bar?! Maybe people should research things a little bit more before swearing that they have to have them..

1) Unless these girls are planning to remove the piercings in a month or so then this is definately the wrong way to do this piercing... needs a surface bar NOT a ring.
2) You need to give the new piercings at least alittle while to heal before lacing them... really stupid right there.
3) To all the kiddies w/ 'when I turn 16/18 I'm so doing this...' GROW UP FIRST!!! Then think it over as this is painful AND can lead to lifelong scarring if not done right. Even if done right it can still reject and leave scars. :(

Heyy, i have this done and it cost me about £450 It looks absoulutly amazing, its a painfull when you first get it done, but its worth it in the end, mine is amazing i love it more than anything, i have a one up my side and my back and one up my arm and they look amazing when its warm i get looks and asked it ot hurt and i get called stunning, if you want it done i would say go for it, but get it done professinaly

Definatley hose will scar if left in but if done right they can last for a while. I am planning on getting two long sets of surface bars with rings on my inner right forearm. And temporary does not always mean like a week. For a piercing, a year or two could be considered temporary, and hopefully thats how long mine will last.

Alright All of you who want to do this when you turn of legal age should really read some of the other comments posted. I thought about getting the corset piercing as well until I saw pictures and read articles about how wrong these can go and how nasty the scaring can be. You should really think before you get it done, because once you get it, you could be stuck with something that could not only leave scars, but also could give you a staff infection, which is a serious type of infection!
Yes they are a beautiful type of peircing, but you should think about the pros and cons before just running out and getting it.
