I must admit that I was a bit sad to find the Morehead family’s 80-mile original 1967 122S wagon for sale on eBay this morning- it seems like the end of an era.
While the front end might say Citroen DS to some, the mechanicals are pure Lamborghini 400 GT, including the 4-liter V-12.

Studebaker apparently went to great lengths to dispose of its concept and prototype vehicles - the company simply dumped them in some woods near the company’s headquarters in North Bend, Indiana.
All told, the company dumped about 45 vehicles in those woods from 1939 to 1955, a good portion of them styling or engineering prototypes.
The first article details the find and the excavation of one of the prototypes - a plastic-bodied station wagon.
